Silence
Paul REGAN
Creative Director, Writer & Content Strategist with a strategic edge. Whether you need fresh, engaging copy, killer content or compelling storytelling, I’ve been there, done that, and am ready to do some more.
About ten years ago, I made the biggest discovery of my career.
My ability to write was directional proportional to my spiritual condition.
In recovery, that means focussing on program, service, outreach, step work and helping other addicts.
The better my spiritual condition, the higher my creative superpowers.
My new spiritual director suggested I make space for silence.
Our work focuses on creating better spiritual formation?through emotional health.
Our basic texts are the Bible,?THE RUTHLESS ELIMINATION OF HURRY ?and?EMOTIONALLY HEALTHY SPIRITUALITY .?
Last week he suggested that the purpose of practising silence and solitude is so that the collaborative elements that make up who we are can recalibrate.?
Soul, body, mind, spirit and heart are given sufficient time to catch up and align with each other again.
No?conditions or attachments.
We don’t do it to hear from God or to receive revelation or to solve problems.
There’s no agenda or outcome that needs to be measured.
Waiting in silence is its own reward.
We?simply align and catch up to who we are and how we function best on the basis of our divine design.
I've long practiced meditation but this is something different.?
Refreshing, luxurious, liberating and limitless.?
Silence isn't empty, it's full of answers.
