Silence means trouble

I had to share my recent learning, so diverting from the usual stuff. But I am sure many moms have more interesting stories than me, I am all ears!

Who doesn't like a bit of peace and silence once in a while? To enjoy a cup of coffee, finish household chores, or complete writing the Linked In Post. As a working mother or busy bee or just as a mother, I have always craved silence and some peaceful time.

But now I know silence means trouble and I am careful when she is silent, it means she is up to something. Once your kid is silent, it should ring a bell and you should smell trouble. Other than nap time or bedtime, when your kid is quiet that means she/he is definitely up to something.

I have a few instances from which I learned this.

In the first instance, While I was working in the kitchen, Ira wanted to play with me. I gave her a few toys to play with and hoped she would be busy for some time, letting me complete the cooking. She was quiet for some time, and I assumed that she was busy. Indeed, she was very busy, being an artist coloring the walls with crayons. Later she was proudly showing me, see mommy now the wall looks better rather than plain white color.

The second time of silence was this week, while I was concentrating on my post. She thought her mom needed help with the fruits, as there were plenty. So she bite all the apples and tugs me to come with her to show me what she has done. I wasn't quite sure if I should be laughing or crying over the bitten apples.

What is the funniest thing your kid has done? Share your adventures.

Indeed, very funny. We do experience this in our day to day life with our kids, which make us think whether to laugh or panic...
