Hey Kristy,
I’ve noticed a few vertical lines above my upper lip. They look like tiny cuts. I’m still young, but I’m worried. Can you tell me what the doctor would recommend?
Thank you, Katherine
Dear Katherine,
One thing you can’t do is to have a facelift. It won’t correct this problem, which unfortunately affects many women. According to Dr. Birchall, these fine lines extending upward and outward from your upper lip occur because of sun damage, heredity, and in some cases, smoking. The best way to fix these lines: Botox or Xeomin, which will last three months or longer. Both Botox and Xeomin share the same main ingredient which is botulinum toxin A. As it relaxes the skin in the area, the wrinkles are lessened. A very natural look and feel! Approximately 24 hours after the treatment avoid strenuous activity, sun exposure, aspirin, and alcoholic beverages.
Hope that helps you today, and looking forward to seeing you soon at The Fountain Clinic!
