Significant material savings with our S1/3DX system

One of our customers in Italy requested a test with our 3DX system to optimize a 5 Lt. stackable jerry can produced on an old Kautex KEB4 blower.

We installed the S1/3DX system with a single actuator, obtaining excellent results.

With the same performance as a traditional S2/3DX normally used in packaging, the S1 One Drive system has various advantages:

1. More compact system: the S1 system requires significantly less space than the S2 system.
2. Multi-cavity application: its small size allows application in multi-cavity die heads, allowing it to be installed where other systems do not fit due to unavailable space.
3. Easy to control: With just one actuator to manage, control and maintenance operations are much easier.
4. Lower costs: the absence of the second actuator reduces construction and assembly costs with consequent reduced recovery of the investment.

By applying the system to this product and optimizing it, we can save up to 20 grams of raw ?material while maintaining the same performance as the non-optimized jerry can.

Considering a production cycle of 24 sec. in a double carriage blow moulding machine, taking into account the price of the raw material and energy costs, the total saving reaches 50,000 euros/year.

This result confirms that the depreciation of our systems is guaranteed in a few months.
