A significant event that changed my life:Why am I here and What is my Purpose?

MY STORY:

I occupied a corner office with a picture window view of the lake. I thought I had arrived and would be all set to retire in place needless to say it all changed. On one faithful day, my boss informed me that our company had just been sold. From that moment everything changed. I was so shocked, I had to pull over and get myself together.

I was laid off with severance. That year went like a flash. I got in gear and most of what I teach others was developed from my own experience, of failure and then success and my ability to focus and take inspired action.

A NEW DREAM JOB:

After landing in a dream job and moving across the country. My family and I settled in for a long run at least so I thought. But again, my parachute was taken and I found myself in a dark place. I was given 4 short weeks of severance. I was terrified.

The truth really was that I had already been through the worst part. After moving in a few months we lost our family dog and my last grandparent. Then the job that we had moved across the country for leaving our home and all our family and friends behind. I was in a new state with no family and 11 months of connections. So what did I do? I made a plan and landed a new dream job in 4 short weeks. Connect with me and I’ll teach you how I did it.

This quote got me though. “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (Jer 29:11) I now know just how important connecting to my faith was in getting me to my dream life and career.
