We’re slowly finding our rhythm in this new year and quarter after a restful holiday break! The team at Diversio is sending you warm wishes for the new year ahead. Last week we had quite a few significant days, looked at trends for 2025, along with building thriving workplaces, and recent DEI events.
Significant Days
Last week was a big week for Orthodox Christianity. This community celebrated The Epiphany and Orthodox Christmas. Orthodox Epiphany marks the baptism of Jesus and symbolizes the moment when his divine nature was revealed. It's a day focused on themes of renewal, cleansing, and spiritual growth, often highlighted by ceremonies involving water blessings. Orthodox Christmas is a special day marking the birth of Jesus Christ. It emphasizes themes of hope, peace, and the importance of family and community. Unlike the commercial focus often seen in Western celebrations, Orthodox traditions center on spiritual preparation, like fasting, and joyful gatherings filled with meaningful rituals and traditional foods. It’s a time for reflection and sharing goodwill.
National Human Trafficking Awareness Day also passed recently, which shines a light on the urgent fight against modern slavery, including forced labor and sexual exploitation.
