Signature chair for Konstantin Filippou′s five-toque restaurant receives the BIGSEE WOOD DESIGN AWARD 2020

Wood Design Awards 2020 is one of the most important events for innovative woodworking in the region. Festival aims to promote use of wood, intensify knowledge exchange within the woodworking sector, and proactively integrate and connect stakeholders within the wood chain in the region and beyond. By engaging the creative industries, its goal is to achieve greater competitiveness and economic efficiency for the industry.

Celebrity chef Konstantin Filippou and designer Martin Mostb?ck make a common cause: In the five-toque restaurant in Vienna you can take a seat on a designer armchair made of sustainable material. The armchair was made from local materials that come from a radius of around 100 kilometres.

In Filippou′s restaurant in Vienna's first District, the armchairs designed by Martin Mostb?ck catch the eye: dark wood, black leather and brass combined to create a stylish whole. “It was a long way to the perfect armchair but the path to the first idea was there quickly. After the visit, the first sketch was ready a week later and it already formulated all the parts that later appeared in the armchair, ”said Mostb?ck.

The chair is produced of 100% sustainable material.
