Did you know...?that SidePlate Connection Designs have the highest prequalified connection limits on beams and columns for moment frames? The SidePlate Plus connection design allows for the use of WideFlange beams up to W48 in depth and 529 lb/ft in weight per IAPMO ER 525 (W44 depth and 529 lb/ft per AISC 358-22) and WideFlange columns up to W44 in depth and no limit in weight per IAPMO 525 and AISC 358-22. These limits exceed that allowed for any other traditional OR proprietary connection that is prequalified for seismic design.

Benefits include:

• Ability to use moment frames in situations that were once not allowed
• Better optimization of lateral system due to increased depth limits
• Increased flexibility in design

More structures can take advantage of all the benefits of Moment Frames
