Sick Of Just *Thinking* About Your Career?

How much of that thinking is actually helpful? How much of it is overthinking, overanalyzing, awfulizing, agonizing, and/or hand-wringing?

I get it. I am a world-class over-thinker.

Seriously. Triple-Crown-World-Cup-Super-Bowl-levels of rumination.

It's literally one of my top 5 strengthsfinder strengths: I LOVE think just to think.

Good when it comes to YOUR career, not so good when it came to MINE.

For so much of my career prior to becoming a coach, I would daydream, journal, and THINK...about what I didn't want and what I wanted instead.

But my thinking was so foggy, I'd yearn for more time to think--believing that MORE THINKING would bring me more clarity.

Nope.

Sure, I'd get glimmers and glimpses, but nothing concrete enough for me to take action on.

Which led to marinating in the same less-than-riveting ideas and I'll-never-figure-it-out feelings.

Here's what I should have done: Taken those ideas and talked. to. people.

And not just talked AT them about my ideas. Or interviewed them about THEIRS.

But really enlisted their help in what I wanted...and had powerful conversations about what I knew, didn't know, and was afraid to admit.

It was once I started talking to people that I got:

  • CLARITY--real clarity--about what I truly wanted.
  • STRATEGIES to (finally!) leave corporate and grow my business.
  • CONFIDENCE...some by better understanding my value and some by way of, "If THIS GUY can be successful, so can I."

(I'm all about surrounding yourself with role models, but let me tell you, soooo much good can come from watching people get what YOU want with LESS talent, brains, and resources. It's a wake-up call to your true potential.)

If you're ready to get out into the world with your "This might sound crazy, but..." ideas of what's possible, let's do this.

And, if you're open to accepting the support of others who are invested in your success, let's freakin' GO.

Network Your Way To a Career You Love starts Friday, June 4.

It's high-vibe, high-touch, and will help you create a solid team of partners to help you build CONFIDENCE, get CLARITY, and take ACTION on your career goals.

And, no, you don't need to be clear on what you want.

One of the most important things we do is get you get you talking to people before you're "ready" (honestly, who's ever ready???)

We get you comfortable talking about those nascent ideas and giving them life (rather than allowing them to rattle around in your brain until you talk yourself out of them.)

One participant, who's launching her SECOND start-up, was nervous about sharing her "half-baked' idea with current and new connections.

The conversations were actually a HUGE confirmation of her idea and validation of how she was actually seen in her industry.

She walked away feeling energized and empowered--and with new partners and ideas.

Can you imagine if she'd waited to figure it out on her own????

Here are a few of the results from previous rounds:

  • 5 job offers
  • 2 client projects so big that the business owner needs to hire help
  • 1 LOVE MATCH! ???? (What if your next partner is IN the course?! OMG, I would have to RETIRE from sheer bliss)
  • 1 confirmation that expensive UX Bootcamp was NOT the way to go
  • 1 product picked up by an online retailer
  • 1 start-up launch ??
  • 1 negotiation for permanent remote working

All through talking with people about what you want. It's so simple (and yet so hard, haha--that's why I created the course!)

Imagine having the career and life you want AND having others HELP you get there.

The point is, wherever you are in your career, and wherever you want to go, relationships are a huge piece of the success puzzle.

It starts with GETTING OUT of your head and GETTING INTO conversations.

And this course will help you build new relationships and deepen existing ones in a way that's fun, easy, and tailor-made for you and your specific situation.

If you're ready to have powerful conversations that lead to the next career opportunity and beyond, I'd love to have you be part of my next networking mastermind.
