May 2018 will be the month of conferences. First I will attend the 60th Annual IEEE-IAS/PCA Cement Industry Technical Conference, which will be held in Nashville TN , May 6 - 10, 2018. This is the largest conference in the cement industry and will include technical presentations of the latest technology covering a variety of topics important to the industry. There will also be tutorials, professional training sessions, a state of the industry report and much more. In addition SICK will have a booth where we will display our Bulkscan LMS511 non-contact volume flow meter for conveyor belts and stock piles. Next will be CEM 2018 - Conference and Exhibition on Emissions Monitoring, which will take place in Budapest, Hungary, from May 16-18, 2018. Here SICK will have a booth, too, where we will present our efficient solution for emission monitoring and stack flow metering. Furthermore I will hold a presentation about continuous mercury emission monitoring and the effects of cement plant operation and mitigation measures on mercury emissions. Finally there will be the 2nd Global CemProcess conference & exhibition, which is the conference for the cement industry that looks at process optimisation, de-bottlenecking, production maximisation and troubleshooting. This event will take place in London, UK from May 23 – 24, 2018. Here I will also give a presentation about mercury emission monitoring and SICK’s efficient sensor solutions for process automation in the cement industry. See you soon!
