Siberian Tiger (Hunter) and Sales

One of the most fascinating channels to watch is the National Geographic channel. On this channel you can see many natural phenomena including the survival journey of various animals living in the wild. Nature is of course a cruel place where only the strong survive and the weak do not, but at the same time it must be remembered that there are many cases where the smart animal managed to survive (the same animal that knew how to escape the predatory animal). At the top of the food chain in nature are lions and tigers.

The question arises is this - why the lion is considered the leader or as they call it "the king of animals" or "the king of the jungle" and not the tiger? The main reason is that the lion stands at the head of his tribe (meaning the head of the family) while the lioness's role is to hunt, the lion actually symbolizes the head of the tribe. The lion is always accompanied by his cubs and the lioness by his side, so this scene of togetherness symbolizes for many the lion's leadership power. The tiger, on the other hand, is considered a better predator than the lion with more flexible muscles (the tiger could fight while standing on its two hind legs for longer than the lion) but unlike the lion it is not the head of a tribe.

He is a solitary predator, works as a single individual predator in a very professional manner and is not always found in a group of tigers accompanying him. There are many species of tigers but the largest of them is the Siberian tiger (also known as the Amur tiger).?

The size of the Siberian tiger is larger than that of the lion and its muscles are more flexible than the lion. Many consider it to be the most beautiful animal in the world. The Siberian tiger, of course, is considered an Apex predator (an apex predator, also known as a top predator or superpredator, is a predator at the top of a food chain, without natural predators of its own).?

The?Siberian tiger fascinates many researchers in the world because it is a skilled predator that could face many challenges in nature. Due to its natural environment, the Siberian tiger has adapted to survive in extremely cold temperatures and snowy conditions.

Sales agents, just like those Apex predators, should actually hunt their potential customers (by identifying their pain points, creating a need, creating awareness of the product or service, establishing contact, do the follow?ups, building relationships and ultimately sending an offer and closing a deal). Therefore, the sales experts, just like the?tigers, are hunters and due to?that, only the best and strongest survive in this field of sales for a long time. For the Siberian tiger there are also good times and bad times.

In the good times the tiger will hunt its prey and satisfy his hunger, and in the bad times it will not hunt its prey and will remain hungry, or even worse will lose its life. Even for the sales expert there are good times and bad times, but even in bad times a good sales expert still knows how to generate deals and bring revenue?to the company he represents.

Remember that sometimes success comes when you step out of your comfort zone and try to reach potential customers in new markets. A skilled sales?expert is considered a solitary hunter just like the Siberian tiger. It is true that the sales expert has a sales team that he motivates, but in the end each one of the team members is an individual measured by his personal productivity KPI (key performance indicators).

In the end we live in a competitive industrial world where just like in nature only the strong survive. The question arises, is there a place for the term work-life balance in this world? I still argue that the answer is yes, because without work-life balance we cannot rest and recharge our energy and prepare for another new work day. You can't work all day and you can't rest all day, so in my opinion the winning recipe is knowing how to combine the two.

Beyond that, I also claim that the term work-life balance is not an outdated term (at least not yet). Part of your indication as a salaried employee to know if the company you work for is right for you is by measuring the work-life balance in that company. Remember that in case that your company does not respect your personal life and does not provide you with a work-life that you deserve, this company does not deserve you as a salaried employee, and you should probably leave it for another company. But again, this is just my personal opinion.
