Shut It Down

It’s really easy to keep going when you should stop something.
The world is making it even easier to make that happen. Videos play one after the other on platforms like YouTube and Netflix. Podcasts play in succession by default on several apps. Momentum carries plenty of things, including things we should stop from happening.
It’s important to have a way to shut it all down.
Even if you don’t want to have a series of ways to shut things down, you should have a way to shut down your day. It can be one single action – like journaling or planning your next day – or it can be several habits stacked on top of each other to form an evening routine.
I can’t tell you what needs to be in place for you to shut it down. But I can tell you that you need to have something in place.
Go find out what that something needs to be... and put it to work.
