Shuffling off to my next adventure

I was a horrible tap dancer. Truly horrible. The only thing I remember from dance class was “shuffle off to Buffalo,” though I thought of Buffalo as a herd and not a city or tap step.?

So, as I step, shuffle and jump to my next step, I want to take the time to thank all who gave me the chance to try in my career – whether I danced well or not.

Thank you to my wonderful colleagues who have shaped me into the person I am today. We have laughed, cried, and pushed the boundaries of what could be done, won and lost, but always together. You have made it a joy to come to work every day.

A big-hearted thank you to those leaders who took me under their wing. I’ve learned from you how to lead and inspire. You have helped me harness my energy into a force for change. Even when that force may have been more than you bargained.

My amazing marketing team, some of whom shed tears, please never stop reaching.?You are smart, strong, and have the wingspan to soar. ?Step back and look at the big picture. If it doesn’t look right, use your marketing fairy dust to make it sparkle in a new way.

Of course, my chosen work family who loves buildings, architecture, and the nuances of workstations as much as I do, please keep on making magic.?Scream your success from the rooftops, taking care to not defer maintenance on your wellbeing.

And, at that, I am tap dancing my way to a new adventure.
