谷歌 has debuted a new “AI Overview” for some of its search results, and as you’d probably expect, it’s not going so well. Throughout the past few days that this feature has been available, many users have spotted some incredibly dumb AI overviews as Google and its Gemini AI struggle to distinguish between satire and genuine content.?
Some examples include results suggesting adding glue to pizza sauce to make it tackier and simply just eating rocks.
Some news from the gaming industry this week saw IGN Entertainment acquire Gamer Network , one of the UK’s biggest network of gaming publications that include GamesIndustry.biz, Eurogamer, Rock Paper Shotgun, VG247 and Dicebreaker. This is an interesting move for the previous owner, ReedPop, who recently announced the merging of its EGX and MCM ComicCon events.

Fresh out of Viva Technology Paris is French beauty company 欧莱雅 with their bio-printed skin to aid the future of cosmetic R&D. Yeah, sorry, this isn’t some sweet futuristic skin printer, instead this bio-printed skin which uses a mix of biology, mechanics, and electronics, is set to open up “exciting possibilities for researchers across the cosmetics and health sectors,” according to Barbara Lavernos, L’Oreal Group’s deputy CEO for research, innovation, and technology.

The festivities kick off on June 7 with Geoff Keighley ’s Summer Games Fest, followed by a bunch of showcases including the Women-Led Games Summer Games Fest, and Future Games Show Summer Showcase on June 8, @Xbox Game Showcase, the PC Gaming Show on June 9, and finally Ubisoft Forward on June 10.
