”Shrujan - a SIOM initiative”

Entrepreneurs are regarded as national assets that should be cultivated, motivated and remunerated to the greatest possible extent. They can change the way we live and work. They not only create wealth from their entrepreneurial ventures, but also create jobs and the conditions for a prosperous society, which can produce a cascading effect or virtuous circle in the economy. The stimulation of related businesses or sectors that support the new venture furthers the economic development. Entrepreneurs are the key drivers of tomorrow’s innovations and integral to creating a thriving economy.

Several brainstorming sessions and deliberations at SIOM by Alumni, Director SIOM and Faculty members has given shape to, and is at the verge of giving birth to its Start-up cell “SHRUJAN…. a SIOM initiative” which is proposed to be inaugurated on the 19th January, 17.

Shrujan shall make attempts at inclining students towards being self sufficient by harnessing and creating budding entrepreneurs through various activities.

One such activity “INNOVATIA” will be conducted on the previous day to mark the beginning of the fervor and enthusiasm by budding business minds. The event entails ‘making and selling’ of the business idea in the form of some produce which shall be displayed and made available for sale.
