Although GELLC has been a longtime voyeur of SHRM, a leading voice in the Human Resources Industry, professionals across industries were disturbed in a myriad of ways when an announcement was made that "equity" would no longer be a priority area. Some professionals were not surprised yet offended, others were shocked, and others protested while moving on to SHRM alternatives.
While GELLC's DEI philosophy is well-documented to note that DEI business functions should not live in the same house as Human Resources functions, it is imperative that they be amicable neighbors.
