Shrivardhan - Harihareshwar two day trip - Raigad - Maharashtra
So if you are planning for a two-day trip and you don’t know where to go and you love beaches well then it’s the place you should be hitting any one or both the beaches, Harihareshwar is just 19 km's away from Shrivardhan. Breathtaking scenic beauty on your way and some mouth watering food are waiting for you. Shrivardhan is located in Raigad, some 170 Kms from Navi Mumbai and 190 Kms from Mumbai, best if you can travel by bike or car twists and turns up and down the hills will fulfill your long ride cravings to the core, I really enjoyed the roads.
The journey takes up to 4:30 to 5:30 hours from Navi Mumbai, because some roads are not so good and on those roads, you can’t ride fast, so would advise you to leave early morning so that you can reach there before 12 pm. We started by 10 am and reached there by 3:30 - 4 pm in Shrivardhan had some delicious food (don’t forget to try fishes there as they are really good). Then we went hunting for a place to stay as we didn’t pre-book, people over there was very good and helpful one man literally came with us to the place where we can get a good room. Basically, during season villagers rent their rooms to tourists they can charge you between 1000 to 1200 per room depending on the room, we got 2 rooms for 1700 and they also provide some home cooked delicious food if you ask them to, for which they charge extra. The good thing about taking a room from them is there are no limitations on persons staying in a room, they also provide you extra cushion and blankets for sleeping. After getting the rooms we got fresh and we went to the beach, it was an amazing beach and sunset (picture below) we reached the beach by 6:30 pm by that time beach was empty and only 2 – 3 guys were there with some water sports options, so we decided to take banana ride they charged us Rs 150 per person for 1 fall which was ok considering there was no one else and we took our sweet time to enjoy the clean beach water. Even after we were done we were wearing the life jacket and jumping in the water and they didn’t even stop us and those guys were reliable too as they took care of our mobile phones and came to our room to collect the money later. After we came back to the house we took a good shower which is on the back side of most of the houses there. The weather was cold but shower after getting wet on the beach was necessary and satisfying too at least for me. So, after the shower, we ate food and decided to visit Harihareshwar next day as we were a bit tired. Shrivardhan is a nice tourist place you can go there with your loved ones or your friends, it will surely keep you away from busy city life, people are nice and trustable and the best part is it’s economical.
