Shri Vyankatesh Stotra mahimā

Shri Vyankatesh Stotra mahimā

?I have the fortunate experience of chanting this divine stotra while I was seeking admission to a renown college for graduation. I chanted the stotra everyday for at least 1 and 1/2 months. By the end of 2–3 months I secured admission and while I was about to leave the College campus, visited a near by building to submit some documents. When I was about to leave that building, by chance I happened to see a long and clean corridor or a hallway. There was some light at the end near by the wall, something nudged me to go towards the end of the corridor.

I started walking and once I reached the end I was wonderstruck and left speechless. In front of me was a majestic life size idol of none other than Lord Venkateshwara, standing inside a serene shrine with an enclosure. I stood in wonder thinking that I was praying all this long to none other than him, secretly and sincerely seeking His blessings for securing my admission, and here it was that I just secured my admission and He revealed himself immediately, as if to confirm my faith and made me feel like it was He, the divine wirepuller whose Grace was at work behind the scenes and fulfilled my prayer, while bestowing on me an experience I can never forget.

The divine idol was near exactly like how shown in the picture above. ?Lord Venkatesha, is considered to be one of the forms of Lord Vishnu or Krishna. All mantras of Krishna can be chanted at any time, any place by any one. The time of chanting a mantra is important for all other deities. When chanting a mantra, you are invoking the deity. During night, any shakti mantra will have tamasic nature. That is the reason it is generally advised to chant mantras during the day time when it comes to shakti mantras unless properly initiated and your Guru specifically outlines the time. Once initiated, it is completely on the Guru to set all rules and procedures relating to invoking a mantra which he/ she may have achieved siddhi in.

Shri Krishna mantras will have the same effect, no matter the time and place. However it depends on the seeker's spiritual nature and the initiation he/she got that determines which mantra and procedure will yield fruit. In all cases, chanting any mantra during Brahma Muhurta and followed by the entire day till evening is good for majority of mantras.

Normally a mantra if chanted between 9.30 pm to 3 am the power of the mantra increases at least 10 fold and it is chanted on no Moon or full Moon night it is 100 times more powerful. But when it is chanted on Dussehra of Diwali day it is 1000 times powerful. When you chant it during Sun on Moon Eclipse it will be 10,000 times powerful. When Venkatesh stotra is chanted during mid night around 12 am in peaceful atmosphere lighting a diya and agarbatti in front of God, you can see the darshan of Lord Venkatesh in front of you. Om Shri Venkateshay Namah
