Shri Siddhivinayakay Namah

Shri Siddhivinayakay Namah

Lord Ganesh is the lord of all manifestations .. without his energy no manifestation can take place by any god or goddess … Lord Ganesh is situated in root chakra which is the source of power and manifestations in our life … So when ever you begin any kind of a prayers or rituals you remember or chant his mantra to take his blessings (energy)…Ganesha Mantras are full of energy and the power of Ganapati. Reciting with genuine devotion, like any other Mantras, Ganesh Mantra gives you positive results removing obstacles.

Lord Ganesha is the son of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati and the formless Divinity – encapsulated in a magnificent form, for the benefit of the devotee. He is God of knowledge and the remover of obstacles. He is also popularly known as Ganapati. Gan means group. A universe is a group of atoms and different energies. This universe would be in chaos if there was no supreme law governing these diverse groups of entities. The Lord of all these groups of atoms and energies is Ganesha. He is the supreme consciousness that pervades all and brings order in this universe.

According to Shiva Purana, Shubh and Labh are two sons of Lord Ganesha. Shubh and Labh are personifications of auspiciousness and profit respectively. Shubh was the son of Goddess Riddhi and Labh was the son of Goddess Siddhi. Ganesh Chaturthi or Vināyaka chaturthī and Ganesh Jayanti (Lord Ganesha’s birthday) are celebrated in the month of August or September and January or February respectively in honour of the elephant-headed God – Ganapati. The head of the Lord Ganesha symbolizes the Atman or the soul, which is considered the ultimate reality of humanity and his human body symbolizes Maya, the trappings of earthly existence.

Ganesha Mantra - Did you know that only Lord Shiva knows all the Ganesha Mantras, in fact, Ganesha has the most number of Mantras, which have been realized, chanted, venerated & applied. Before learning any Ganesha Mantra and wanting to chant it, remember you are honoring and revering the lord of the Ganas (animals, birds, insects et al). So one primary lent would be to discard non-vegetarian food, totally & completely (I did it and so can anyone else too). And moreover, he is the Pratham Pujyawan (First & foremost to be worshipped).

Ganesha AtharvaShirsha - Of the many atharvashirsha (StableHead), Ganesha atharvashirsha can be found in the Atharva Veda, and has been realized by Atharva Rishi/Janak Rishi as some may know him as. This is by far the most complete and only minor Upanishad, which has the Ganapati Beeja mantra, and the Ganapathi Gayathri Mantra within it. I havent read or heard any other shloka or upanishad which has this unique combination.

The very 1st line of the Upanishad is the mention of a Mahavakya - “Tatvamasi”. The correlation here is the essence of all the Vedas is the Gayatri Mantra, the essence of the Gayatri Mantra are the Mahavakyas, the essence of the Mahavakyas is Pranava or OM (its not AUM, there are 2 syllables in AUM, whereas in our Vedas, OM - is a single syllable, Om et ekaksharam Brahma). The Veneration of Lord Ganapati in the Atharva Shirsha is the realization of the Parabrahman, where Ganesha is in fact Brahma, Vishnu, Rudra, Indra, Agni, Vayu, Surya & Chandra.

It took me around 4 months to understand and memorize the Ganapathi Atharva shirsha, without any Deeksha, and now its by far my biggest strength, and one of the best and most complete way to self-realization. A lot of people have the confusion of whether its Gan/Gam, remember in Hindi/Sanskrit, when two identical syllables follow each other, it is to be pronounced as Gang, with the ng sound, emanating from the nose, and it sounds like Gan with a slight whiff of G, as the next word would be Ganapathi.

Om Gan Ganapataye Namaha. (This is the Beeja Mantra of Lord Ganapati), chant this to change your life, and get ready to start accessing knowledge, mostly divine texts, and if you are true to your resolution, then Vikat (another name of Ganesha), will be your Guardian and he will reside in you. (Muladhara is where Ganesha resides, in a reddish ochre colour). Mind you, Ganesha is known for his innocence and chanting his name while continuing Adharma (whatever form/way), will surely take a toll.

My experience while chanting this mantra has been the ease with which I have been able to navigate our holy Indian scriptures, from understanding and realizing to chanting them. There are only 2 Gods in the Kaliyuga, who can grant Moksha and have a profound influence and grants immediate benefit to our lives. They are Maha Kali & Vinayaka. If you do not have a Guru, I would suggest you follow one of the 4 Shankaracharyas of the 4 Peethams. I personally follow Shankaracharya Swami Shri Nischalananda Saraswathi Ji). The above statement of the 2 Gods are based on his discourse. (Praying to Vinayaka & Devi Chandi Gives Immediate Benefits In Kaliyuga), || Om Gan Ganapataye Namaha || ||Om Shreem Hreem Kleem Gloum Gan Ganapataye Vara Varada SarvaJanam-me vashamanaya Swaha ||
