Showing Up

Showing Up

Earlier today I had a discovery call scheduled with a potential client.

I waited. He didn't show up.

About 10 minutes after I left my online meeting space, he sent me a message asking if he could have another chance, and that he wanted to take responsibility.

My response was:

"I usually don't offer second chances because if you won't show up for me, it means you won't show up for yourself, which means that our working together will be a waste of time for both of us."

He asked again for a second chance saying:

"I have already wasted a lot by playing the blame game. I am learning my lessons. But I need guidance to find the direction. I know what I will miss if I don't work with you."

I gave him a second chance, but I definitely won't give him a third.

This man made an appointment with me to talk about how I can support him to move out of pain, and into a more powerful existence.

You have also made an appointment...perhaps not with me, but with yourself, with your family, with the books that you are reading, with courses you have enrolled in, with the universe perhaps?

Are you showing up? Are you taking responsibility?

Or are you giving yourself second chances, third chances, even hundredth chances to move yourself out of pain and into a more powerful existence.

If you don't show up for you, no one else will either.

In possibility,

Theresa
