Showing the love to your teams
With it being Valentines Day, it brings up the question of how are we as Business Leaders showing the love to our teams?
It's a question of Hygienes vs Motivators - do they know what progression looks like to them and how they achieve it? Do they feel like it's a nice environment to work in? Do they feel listened to and understood? Do they feel appreciated with small gestures like a coffee or a message about something they like? Decorate their desk for their birthday?
Motivators are the soft, intrinsic drivers that often trump money - it's a key factor in attraction and retention of staff - so this Valentines, ask yourself how your team want the love shown, and how can you do it?
