Featured – Showcasing Your Work

The?Featured section?lets you showcase your expertise and what makes you unique! It displays below the About?section?of your profile.

Are you proud of your work and want to show the world a sample of it??

There’s a little place on LinkedIn that can do just that.?It’s the “Featured” section.?Here, you can post samples of media, pictures, documents, links, articles that you’ve authored or co-authored, etc.?It’s like your electronic trophy display! And when you have good stuff to share, people will look; therefore, your profile will get more attention.

In the past, this information was featured in the “About” section, but it moved to its own “Featured” section.?Now it is showcased more prominently.?You can pick and choose its content, unlike the “Activity” section. If you don’t have anything to show, it just stays hidden.

You can feature any posts you’ve authored or re-shared, articles you’ve published on LinkedIn, as well as external media, documents and links. LinkedIn encourages you to showcase content that you’re proud of and that you feel is representative of your professional identity.

?? Who can see this section of your profile??

Whomever you allowed on the “Visibility of your profile & network” section under your Settings & Privacy page and under Edit Visibility (Go to your Profile>Edit profile & URL>Edit Visibility – and then check or uncheck anything you don’t want to be shown).

Per LinkedIn, “If you’d like to feature content as you’re posting it on your feed, you’ll have to click the …More icon from the top right of the post to add it to your Featured section.”?You can also edit, delete, reorder, and remove any of your posts. ?Here are LinkedIn’s instructions on how to do so:

Keep in mind that if you remove or delete the content, it will be gone permanently.?There’s no undoing this action.???♀???♀?
