Do you want to train with a group of highly-motivated fellow PMI UK members? Then the PMI UK's Study Group Program may be just the thing for you! We know how daunting studying towards your certification can be, so there is no need to approach this alone!

PMI UK recently ran a pilot scheme for online CAPM study groups in partnership with Gabor Stramb from Project Certifications. Fifteen attendees focused on gaining certification within 6 months of completing the 8-week study program. This was so successful that PMI UK has decided to run another four study groups over 16 weeks, split between PMP and CAPM certification.

Why participate in PMP Study Groups?

Let’s first answer the question you’ve been asking yourself: should I bother? Is it really worth joining a group when so much of your learning can be done independently with the support of online training materials? There certainly are plenty of?advantages to being part of a learning circle with experienced practitioners studying something new. PMI UK's PMP Study groups provide a flexible, low-cost addition to commercial prep courses, not to mention the networking opportunities that extend beyond the study group.

Many people prefer learning as part of a group as they inherently know that is how they will be most motivated to use their learning time effectively. There is something about shared goals and being held accountable by your peers that helps structure your personal learning. If the peer pressure of having others counting on you to show up is what gets you going, then probably a collaborative approach to your exam prep is going to help you get to exam success faster.

When you participate in a study group, you have your materials and each other to support you. You also have access to Gabor Stramb, who will help, advise and answer your most challenging questions, be it content or test prep!
