SHOW THAT OUR GOD IS A MERCIFUL GOD.

 The Lord God of heaven and earth desire good for his people, but the enemy, the devil sow the seed of disobedient into the heart of man. God in His infinite mercy sends prophets, to teach man His ways and if that was not enough sent His son, so that the right ways to worship him and fellowship with him will be made known to man.

 What do God desire of man? That man should worship and obey him with all their heart, might and power. And also that man should love one another and care for one another.

 Man filled with disobedient of heart and selfishness refuse to be obedient to the desire of their heavenly Father. Sometimes, I wonder how man desire to surfer than become obedient and live a beautiful life.

 Take account of what happened during the time of prophet Jeremiah. The people refuse to honor the covenant they made in the house of God.

 Jeremiah 34:8-17 The word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord, after King Zedekiah had made a covenant with all the people in Jerusalem to make a proclamation of liberty to them, that everyone should set free his Hebrew slaves, male and female, so that no one should enslave a Jew, his brother. And they obeyed, all the officials and all the people who had entered into the covenant that everyone would set free his slave, male or female, so that they would not be enslaved again. They obeyed and set them free. But afterward they turned around and took back the male and female slaves they had set free, and brought them into subjection as slaves. The word of the Lord came to Jeremiah from the Lord: “Thus says the Lord, the God of Israel: I myself made a covenant with your fathers when I brought them out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery, saying, At the end of seven years each of you must set free the fellow Hebrew who has been sold to you and has served you six years; you must set him free from your service.’ But your fathers did not listen to me or incline their ears to me. You recently repented and did what was right in my eyes by proclaiming liberty, each to his neighbor, and you made a covenant before me in the house that is called by my name, but then you turned around and profaned my name when each of you took back his male and female slaves, whom you had set free according to their desire, and you brought them into subjection to be your slaves.

“Therefore, thus says the Lord: You have not obeyed me by proclaiming liberty, everyone to his brother and to his neighbor; behold, I proclaim to you liberty to the sword, to pestilence, and to famine, declares the Lord. I will make you a horror to all the kingdoms of the earth.

 If you read all account of what happened after the people refuse to honor their proclamation of liberty to their neighbors and brothers, the Chaldeans that are departing from them returned to fight against the city of Judah and later conquered it and burnt it with fire.

 Many were killed and remnant was taken into captivity. The king watched all his children killed in one day and they gush out his two eyes.

 Ask yourself, which one is better? To obey Gods commandments to declare liberty to their brothers and neighbors according to their covenant with the Lord in His house or to die in the war, pestilence and famine.

 Because of man selfishness, evil heart and hatred to one another, they choose to die than love one another.

I do know that you believe that our generation will obey the covenant than disobeying it, and die. But I want to make it clear to you that our generation has done worse than them.

 Take the issue of tithe. God commanded that at the end of every three years, the tithe should be divided among these group, the Levites, fatherless, widows, and stranger Deut. 14:28-29.

And Moses commanded the people in Deut. 26:12-13; “When you have finished paying all the tithe of your produce in the third year, which is the year of tithing, giving it to the Levite, the sojourner, the fatherless, and the widow, so that they may eat within your towns and be filled, then you shall say before the Lord your God, ‘I have removed the sacred portion out of my house, and moreover, I have given it to the Levite, the sojourner, the fatherless, and the widow, according to all your commandment that you have commanded me. I have not transgressed any of your commandments, nor have I forgotten them

 Everyone I know disobey this commandment of tithing. The Bishops, Pastors and teachers made the people believe that the tithe is for them and the church. And they made the people to pay to them instead of paying to the right people as commanded by God.

 The Bishop, pastors, prophets and teachers of the gospel are not Levites, because they are not from that descendants, and they have inheritance in the house of their fathers. The apostles did not claim to be Levites, and they are sustained with the free will offering of the people. Therefore, men of our generation should not claim whom they are not, and should stop coveting what God has provided for the widow, fatherless and stranger.

 This hardened heart of our generation to love their neighbor and brothers has made God to afflict them with different diseases as was foretold by our Lord Jesus as He speaks of the last days, some incurable like AIDS, venereal diseases, syphilis, cancer, and the newest is Coronavirus.

 Just as God saves some people who obey His commandments during the time of Jeremiah, He is today saving His people who trusted and obeyed His commandments in Christ Jesus.

 To them that are obedient, it will be done to them as written in Revelation 7:2-3, Then I saw another angel ascending from the rising of the sun, with the seal of the living God, and he called with a loud voice to the four angels who had been given power to harm earth and sea, saying, “Do not harm the earth or the sea or the trees, until we have sealed the servants of our God on their foreheads.”

 Today, I do witness between you and God your creator who you have disobeyed this day, by rejecting His commandment to take care of the widows, strangers and the fatherless by paying your tithe offering of the Lord to them according to His commandment, lifting the name of your God as a merciful and caring God above all other gods. And had listened to the voice of man instead of God, and in His wrath has brought these diseases upon the world according to His word from His prophets.

 If you will repent and made what was wrong right, He is faithful and just and will remove these diseases from you and your neighbor, but if you will refuse to repent, this newest one Covid-19, coronavirus will keep you and the people of the world indoors for a long time. If it did subside, more devastating one is to come. The word of God concerning the last days cannot be broken.

 Obey, and you will live a joyful life. It is better to put light on than to curse the darkness.
