Shout out to you ...

Well, what a week that was!  A little gratitude and empathy can always help.

Shout out to all those people who lost their jobs this week … we feel for you.

Shout out to all those bosses that had to lay down some or all of their team … we know this is the last thing you wanted to do.

Shout out to all those business owners who had worked so hard to get their businesses up and running only to have to shut their doors [whether permanently or temporarily] … we feel for you, we are here for you, this is not the end, there will be other opportunities.

Shout out to all those accountants and business advisers who were a guiding light, a shoulder to cry on, a voice of reason and whatever else you needed during the week … thank you for being there night and day for those in need of your advice [and shoulders to cry].

Shout out to the bankers who deferred loan repayments and gave some room to move … we appreciate you for playing your part.

Shout out to ScoMo for making some tough decisions and leading the nation through this mess … we know you have a tough job to do but can see how much you care and how you are doing your absolute best.

Shout out to the Annastacia Palaszczuk and all the state governments that are refunding and waiving some payroll tax this week … it is appreciated by the business community and will make a difference.

Shout out to the police who have to enforce new rules [because we can’t help ourselves] and help those that are not handling the pressure … thank you for keeping us safe and for your unwavering commitment to the community.

Shout out to the health care workers that are working night and day to help those unwell … you are a special type of person in so many ways.

Shout out to the aged-care workers ... thank you for looking after our loved ones while we cannot.

Shout out to the farmers ... you've had your own challenges of late but are still the backbone of our country.

Shout out to the scientists in a lab somewhere trying to find a cure or vaccine for this virus … you never cease to amaze us with your determination.

Shout out to the mums and dads spending more times with the kids … don’t feel guilty about this unintended positive consequence.

Shout out to all the leaders who guided us this week from franchise managers to community association CEOs … it’s your time to shine, thank you for doing so.

Shout out to my team and fellow directors … thank you for caring, thank you for helping and thank you for being a part of our team.

There are lots of things we don’t know at the moment. One thing we do know is that this will come to an end.

Stay well. Stay Healthy. Look after yourself as much as you look after your team, your business, your family and those in your community.
