After 5 years and almost 500 ClassPass sessions here is how you should decide if you want to try classpass or not.
Overall the value of ClassPass is a single app to book workouts at a discounted rate as long as you use all the credits you have each month. For anyone living or working on Manhattan looking to workout, it is a great choice.

What workouts are on ClassPass?
I’ve done all of these workouts and can verify they are all great workouts. The secret about boutique studios is that the instructor makes the studio. I would recommend you use the ClassPass reviews to research which instructor you want to take.
Running
- Mile High Run Club — Indoor running studio with great coaches to help beginners and advanced runners. Recommend starting with shorter run times and then moving to longer runs. My favorite is ‘The Distance’ — 60 min run.
- ClassPass Locations — Noho, Nomad, UES
- Peloton Tread — After their popular Spin Bike, Peloton has now launched a treadmill that you can try and be part of their recording. Great Instructors.
Yoga / Core
- Y7 Studio — This is my favorite yoga class. It functions as a meditative time for me as well as a strong workout. The class is Candlelit, Hot IR Sauna Yoga with 3 Flows at 3 speeds. It sounds complex but it is quite simple and my favorite Yoga Class. ClassPass Locations — Soho, Tribeca Favorite Instructor — Sarah Randall
- Bode NYC — formerly Bikram NYC, it’s the traditional 90-minute class with twenty-six Hatha Yoga postures in 102–105 degrees. ClassPass Locations — Flatiron
- Solidcore — Reformer based core class focused on maxing out each muscle group. One of the best core workouts.
HIIT & Boxing
- Switch Playground — High-intensity interval training based on 20 stations with 2 minutes at each station. The class starts with a quick stretch and then personal trainers coach you on the moves at each station. ClassPass Locations — Soho, Union Square
- The Fort — The RPM Class is a high-intensity cardio workout.
- Barry’s Bootcamp — Running and Weights. ClassPass Locations — Tribeca
- Fhitting Room — Kettlebell focused high-intensity interval training. ClassPass Locations — Chelsea
- Overthrow Boxing — Underground Boxing. ClassPass Locations — Bowery
- Rumble Boxing — Boxing and weights workout
Cycling & Rowing
- Monster Cycle — Video-based gothic spin class. ClassPass Location — Chelsea
- City Row — High-intensity interval rowing
- Peloton Cycling Studio — Try the Peloton spin bike in person
- Swerve — Team-based studio spin classes
