SHOULD YOU START YOUR OWN BUSINESS?

There have been a lot of interesting conversations in the https://www.dhirubhai.net/pulse/linkedin-top-startups-2024-10-irish-companies-rise-zfevc/ initiative about the driving forces behind some of the most successful start-ups, and I found them insightful and informative. For example, the conversation that you should only start a business if you feel the need to solve a problem https://www.dhirubhai.net/pulse/apply-because-you-crave-impact-tines-ceo-eoin-hinchy-eriuc/

It made me think and even go back to my thoughts of when my business was just a scary thought in my head. Why did I do it?

I believe the drive to own your own business can be fuelled by many reasons – craving for independence, wanting more quality family time, burning desire to succeed and break boundaries, smashing the top glass ceiling of the income you can expect as an employed person, desire to make your mark in the world etc. And by the way, all of them are valid reasons which can start something truly magical.

But what does it take to make a start-up work?

I have to agree with Eoin Hinchy here. At the very core of every successful business, there should be a goal – to offer a solution to a problem for your client.

Before any proactive steps can be taken, I would advise you to understand your business desire a little more from the point of adding value to someone else. Because no business is an island – you need this ‘someone else’ to want to buy your goods or your services.

When we think about business, we think of lengthy business plans and extensive capital. But nowadays, you can start any business pretty much from the comfort of your home and your laptop. And as for the business plan, I can simplify it for you to the absolutely essential minimum.

To start your business, you need to answer these primary and essential questions:

·??????? Who are your clients?

·??????? What problem do they have?

·??????? How can you solve it for them?

·??????? How can you make them aware of your helpful business solution?

Here is your business plan in a nutshell!

If you have a great business idea that can help someone else, you are already at a good start. You wouldn’t be selfish and keep it to yourself, would you? ??
