Should You Build An In-house Or Outsourced Team?

Should You Build An In-house Or Outsourced Team?

The answer…

Build an in-house team, but outsource the ones you lack to a reliable outsource provider. (Also outsource if you lack office space, equipment and the like.)

As a startup, you may be limited in one way or another—this may be in terms of infrastructure, staffing, or finances. That’s completely fine because all businesses start small. But remember to fill in the core positions of your business with reliable and skilled talent.

Aside from that, here’s another important thing to remember: don’t stress yourself trying to master an area—say, mobile app development—when that’s completely out of your strengths.

Don’t try to take all of the workloads on yourself, because you’ll most likely end up counterproductive. You’ll also need to recognise which tasks your in-house team can handle. Maybe you’re already stretching your team too thin; that can hinder your team’s efficiency.

That’s when you turn to outsourcing. It’s not a bad thing to outsource, contrary to popular belief. It’s actually smart and strategic, because you not only get access to a bigger pool of competent talent abroad, you also get to increase efficiency while saving time.

Aside from providing workspace and equipment for your outsourced team, outsourcing companies usually help you manage them, so you can focus on running your business.

That’s what we do for our clients at Cloud Employee. Find a reliable and trustworthy outsourcing company, and you’ll be able to easily manage your teams, both in-house and outsourced.
