It’s still a worker’s market. Job postings in the US dropped about 6% since last month, but remain roughly 50% above pre-pandemic levels—and searches for jobs that pay $20 and $25 per hour are on the rise.

Unions’ spending habitats could be harming unions. US unions have run billion-dollar annual surpluses in the past decade, adhering to a model called “fortress unionism” which seeks to defend existing organized labor rather than risk spending on campaigns that may have little to no pay-off.?
