Should Intuition have the right to dictate your business decisions?

Should Intuition have the right to dictate your business decisions?

"Trust! The Universe will provide everything you need!"

Oh, how easy it was to say those words. Heck, I would regularly spew them out in workshops and during training sessions.

I was a gangsta when it came to following my intuition for what to eat, what to wear, what route to drive but the ugly truth was that when it came to my business I was one of those closeted Pro-Logic. I had to let my brain run that show and make all the choice.

It sounded grand to let my intuition run everything, ah the joy we would have frolicking on the sand, and later heart and brain walking the beach at sunset.

Then it was back to reality, and I had to make some money!

Suddenly the brain has pulled a Danny from Grease and has gone all macho to his other brain friends when the heart shows up at school. Just when the brain thought this love affair with the heart was going to be a private affair - HA!

So, I am all out brain mode, calculating the algorithms, listening to webinar after webinar of the pro's who are making bank with the magic formula.

Out comes the credit card and one more course is purchased that will bring me the boatload of cash they are promising.

While the heart is sitting with Frenchie, pinning for her lost love and wondering why she was so badly rejected. She weeps as she watches the brain spinning off yet again instead of listening to her.

Now, I don't know about you but for me letting the brain be solely in charge of business decisions has cost me some pretty big money. I would get that nudge from my heart and gut telling me that this was not going to end well and yet the logic was there to prove that this was a good choice so that is what I would run with.

Only to feel the pain of yet one more time that I did not listen and even though my heart and gut were gracious and did even raise and eyebrow of "told you so", I would feel the ache and shame of one more time that I failed to follow.

Why?

Because I was not willing to lose. I was not willing to risk being wrong.

Which is so ironic, because that is exactly what happened.

I lost money in those expensive programs that promised to have the magic formula, I lost sanity when I would take on a client that my heart was screaming "no" to and they ended up being one of those PITA (pain in the ...) clients, and I lost time chasing down yet another rabbit hole.

I teach this! So why could I not get it to roll out in my own business?

Oh yeah! Scardy cat me was not willing to lose - yet was losing.

I really wish I could say that I learned this lesson quickly and moved on to live in a mansion in Bali, but nope!

I spent years, hell maybe even decades doing this dance. Trusting for a while - having incredible things line up and money roll in, get scared, pull back into my logic and ignore my intuition, lose money and rinse and repeat.

I would also love to say that I am so over it and totally rock star that I ALWAYS trust and follow my intuition but since I suck at lying you would see through that one.

I am pretty rock star with it, hitting that mark around 90% of the time and I can say that trusting it is the ONLY way I can make the money roll in while also having time for me and an occasional nap.

Little over two years ago I sold my massage supply outlet store and moved full time into coaching and speaking - earning 6 figures in the first year, and more in the second. So YES intuition can bring the money in!

I am rockstar at getting others to let go of that fear of losing and standing in the willingness to lose everything so that you can follow even the wildest of nudges from your intuition and have what so many call magic show up.

The magic that is YOU!
