Should I Make My Own LinkedIn Content, Repost Content, or Like and Share Content?

Creating a content schedule can be a mess…some days we have creative blocks and can’t figure out the content we’d like to put up for our connections on LinkedIn to see. You might think to yourself, "Hey, maybe I should take it easy today and repost other people’s content or react to other people’s content and call it a day!" However, many might not know that a combination of liking and sharing content, reposting content, and organically creating content is the ultimate trio for increasing your presence on LinkedIn. Why? Let’s find out!

?? | The Value Of Organic Content

Whenever you are scrolling mindlessly on LinkedIn, some of us cringe at people posting generic business quotes that have no value to them. To you, it seems like a low-effort post, right? Well, the secret to organic content is to make content that has you (yes, your voice and face) plastered all over it. Studies show that "...faces are 38% more likely to receive likes and 32% more likely to receive comments." Think about it: many of us have hundreds of connections. By hearing your voice or seeing your face, they are more likely to create a personal connection with you and your post and have a higher likelihood of going viral.

??|? Reposting Content… but done right!

We hear you. If you aren’t able to frequently create content that involves you all the time, reposting content can be an alternative. However, many people aren’t reposting content correctly. To differentiate yourself from others, give your own thoughts and opinions on why the content you are reposting is worthy for your network to see. Reposting content without context or a call-to-action will lead people to scroll by. Though, by giving your own two cents, more people are willing to contribute to the reposted conversation while also helping the original content creator gain more impressions from your network as well!

?? | Social Media Interaction

To nobody’s surprise, reacting to posts is one of the basics of social media. Eerily, your connections and the public are able to see a history of the content you are engaging with. This is a great way to showcase your personality and character for potential clients to see.?

?? | The Takeaway

By breaking down the individual benefits of resharing content, creating content, and interacting with content, we can conclude all three are vital to a successful LinkedIn account. Instead of burning yourself out by doing ? methods, try to balance your content calendar and incorporate time for all three methods. The ultimate result ends up with your connections being able to see you digitally all the time while understanding the brand image you are selling.
