After GGI, I joined Bain & Co.
Global Governance Initiative
Impact MBA Scholars, Fellowship to build a career in Management Consulting, Public Policy and Product Management
”Hi, I am Palak
I majored in Statistics at Lady Sri Ram College, University of Delhi.
Post which I started on my professional path.
I joined GGI after gaining about 1.5 years of experience and close to when I was transitioning between jobs.
Today, I have upwards of 4 years of work experience. I have ventured in the fields of management consulting and start-up ecosystems."
Q- One word that would describe your GGI experience?
“Intellectually-stimulating!
During our professional journey, we are often set in our ways.
But, here you get to learn a lot of things that you may not be learning at your job or during your academic journey.
For example, during our operations masterclass, we used a simulation exercise-specific tool kit to learn efficiencies, which was very new to me.
For someone who hadn’t done an MBA, it was a great stimulating learning experience.”
Q- Your advice for the cohort of 2023
“Firstly, go in with an open mind.
We are sometimes very streamlined in our approaches, but it is a good idea to have a generalized approach first irrespective of what you wish to specialize in.
Secondly, do not hesitate to reach out to anyone whether it’s the cohort, the founders, or your mentor.
You really don’t know where help lies. You will presently be surprised by receiving help from unexpected places. Continue to build your network and give back.”
