Shorten Your To-Do List

Shorten Your To-Do List

1.??This Week's Hot Tip

Let’s climb in the tree of trust for a few minutes. Be honest. When you look at your to-do list for today, how long is it? Are you looking at multiple pages and ink colors? ?If you have one of those never-ending to-do lists, I have a quick hack for you.

  1. Shift your thinking. Focus more on impact and less on doing.?I don’t have a to-do list because it implies busyness. I have weekly and daily priorities. I have no more than 6 priorities a day. Some days I only have one.
  2. Apply the 4 Ds. To whittle down a long to-do list ask yourself, Should I… Do it. Dump it. Delay it or Delegate it.?The items that only you can handle do they move the needle and get you closer to your big goal. If so, they make it on your daily priorities list.
  3. ?Enjoy the satisfaction. ?A more focused priorities list is so satisfying when you complete it. An instant sense of accomplishment. If you breeze through it, there is always something you can add.

2: Book Recommendation: I love this no-nonsense approach to finishing what you start. Lots of actionable steps to shift your life.?I am a big fan of Sarah Knight’s, “Get Your Sh*t Together .”

Q: Hello Keita! I am a fairly new entrepreneur.?I am super excited, but I am finding myself overwhelmed and exhausted. What do you recommend to help me not burn out.

A: Schedule downtime and days off.?Be intentional about it.?With entrepreneurship, there is always something you could or should be doing.?Fight the urge to be perpetually working on the business.

The second thing, understand how you make money in your business.?Focus your daily priorities on the things that drive revenue. I hope this helps. Feel free to reach out with any questions. Grab time on my calendar.
