A company in Richardson’s vital technology sector is upgrading its facility. Fast Photonics USA plans to remodel its facility with 11,000 square feet of new clean rooms for product assembly, testing and packaging. Fast Photonics’ Made in America equipment helps keep internet connections fast and reliable. A strategic economic development partnership aimed at strengthening international economic ties and fostering ongoing innovation within The IQ? community was unveiled this morning at the Richardson IQ?HQ. Richardson Mayor Bob Dubey, City Manager Don Magner, Founder/CEO Mahesh Nandyala, and Richardson Economic Development Director Chris Shacklett provided details of the agreement, highlighting its role in establishing a direct pipeline to attract international businesses to Richardson. This foreign investment from startups is expected to create jobs, stimulate the local economy, and expand Richardson's global business connections.
