Do you already use the LinkedIn Insight Tag? If not, you definitely should! This tag helps you to learn more about your target audience and target them even more effectively. Why and how, you ask? We will go through it in this newsletter.
Do you know what the LinkedIn Insight Tag is?
The LinkedIn Insight Tag is actually no more than a piece of JavaScript code you can add to your website. This small piece of code opens a lot of doors when it comes to collecting and analyzing data in LinkedIn Campaign Manager. By measuring actions outside LinkedIn via the tag, you can (amongst other things) do the following:
- Do: Optimize ads more successfully. The tag enables linking conversion goals from the websites with the added code to your account in Campaign Manager. This way, you'll have much more support in your data and you'll be able to gain more insight into what does and does not work for your target audience. Which creatives work best? And what gives you the highest ROI? These are just a few examples of questions you can answer with the Insight Tag data.
- Do: Gain insight into your website demographics. At the top of every Campaign Manager account, you can find the heading "Website Demographics". Once you have installed the Insight Tag, this is where you can collect demographic data from your website visitors. Examples of data you can view include job title, seniority, industry, and location.
- Do: Set up retargeting ads. By using LinkedIn Matched Audiences, you can set up retargeting audiences that are at different stages in the marketing funnel. Based on that, you can then customize the range of ads they will then see. It has been shown that retargeting ads convert 70% better than any other ads and that the CTR is on average 10 times higher. Definitely worth giving it a try ??
