My Short Courses at HPLC 2024 Denver on July 21, 2024
The preeminent conference on HPLC will be held in Denver on July 20-25, 2024.? Professor Susan Olesik of The Ohio State University will chair the conference.
I will offer two short courses at this conference on Sunday, July 21, 2024. Each course is three hours long and will focus on HPLC method development for pharm analysis and HPLC operation/troubleshooting. Depending on your registration status and timing, the cost can be $0 for bundled registrants and $100-$150 for others. The registration link and details of each course are shown below. See you in Denver in July. Please send questions and comments to me at [email protected] or via LinkedIn.
(u)HPLC Method Development (focusing on pharmaceutical analysis)
Course description
This three-hour course reviews best practices, shortcuts, and tricks of the trade to help pharmaceutical and other scientists become more successful in developing effective HPLC or UHPLC methods (for potency and ICH-compliant stability-indicating assays of pharmaceuticals) using the traditional selectivity-tuning, three-pronged method template, and universal generic gradient method approaches. The focus will be on simple and practical approaches to developing new chemical entities (NCE) methods.
What will the student learn?
?????????? The Traditional 5-step Approach, according to Snyder, Kirkland and Glajch
?????????? The 3-pronged Template Approach for Rapid Method Development
?????????? The use of a single Universal Generic Gradient Method for pharmaceutical analysis and how this approach can be used effectively in early-phase drug development of stability-indicating assays of NCEs
HPLC Operation, Maintenance, and Troubleshooting
Course description
This 3-hour short course provides the attendees with an overview of the best practices in HPLC/UHPLC operation, including mobile phase and sample preparation for pharmaceutical analysis.? Common HPLC and UHPLC maintenance procedures are described together with HPLC troubleshooting strategies illustrated with practical case studies.
What will the student learn?
·???????? HPLC Operation plus mobile phase and sample preparation
·???????? HPLC Maintenance and Troubleshooting, including diagnosing and Solving Problems (pressure, baseline, peak, data performance), illustrated with case studies.
