French AI startup Mistral just released Pixtral Large

The new Pixtral model is available under both research and commercial licenses. The 124B parameter multimodal model marks the company’s most advanced AI system yet. It is also transforming its Le Chat platform into a comprehensive workspace rival.

Some Le Chat platform features are free during beta. It outperforms top models on math reasoning and real-world tasks, and beats Gemini 1.5 Pro and GPT-4 on chart and document understanding. The model has a 128K context window, which can process 30 high-res images or a 300-page book at once.
