You should shoot your shot, Give it a trial, Grab the bull by the horn.

The above can be used interchangeably or depends on the situation at hand.

I want to dwell more on "shoot your shot" as it is most widely used among the youths. Before you shoot your shot, you need to know the kinda weapon you're carrying and understand the game you intend to hunt. This will guide you on how to position yourself, aim before shooting.

We all are equipped with different weapons upon arrival to this battlefield, some with mallet, some with club, some with dagger, some with machete, some with bow and arrow, some with spear while some Axe. 

Some are equipped with guns, to note there are different type of guns, Arquebus, Musketoon, Wall gun, Grenade launcher, Submachine gun, Assault rifle, Semi-automatic shotgun, Mini-gun, Submachine gun, Machine gun, Handgun, Cannon, Howitzer to name but a few.

Different guns for different missions. A sniper gun will not be used in place of shotgun and vice versa. We all have a purpose to fulfill in this life. Someone with a shotgun who needs to be at close range to his game will make an obvious loud bang whenever he shoot his shot, however a Sniper gun with a silencer will take down series of high target at long range unnoticed.

Because the shotgun make the loudest noise does not make it best gun nor the best shot to shoot. Different folks with different ammunitions for the specific battle they are to win.

Do not drop your Submachine gun to chase after a handgun. Know your weapon, understand the battle you're in before shooting your shot.

Remember, it is YOUR shot, no one can shoot it better like you.
