Shoot You: Top 5 videos from then...
A look back at our favourite early work
As we take time to reflect on the last 20 years we thought it would be nice to pull out some of our favourite projects from the early days. At a time when corporate video was still very much in its infancy, we are really proud of how we pushed the boundaries of creativity and even had two history making moments!
So here they are, our top 5 videos from then…
Costa Coffee: 2001
One of the earliest projects we were fortunate to be involved with, we filmed this video for Costa Coffee back in 2001 to assist with a rebrand. It was great to have been involved in their transformation and particularly personal to us as our cameraman’s children all starred in the ad!
Palmers Scaffolding, St Paul’s Cathedral: 2003
This video was instrumental in the development of Shoot You, it put our work squarely in the spotlight for the first time and ultimately enabled us to buy our first office. Filmed in 2003, we shot a time-lapse of the construction work taking place at St Pauls Cathedral. It was commissioned by 'Palmers' scaffolding and clips were shown all over the national news.
Silver Bullet, The Millennium Dome: 2003
We were thrilled to be asked to create this video for the owners of the Dome back in 2003. It was just undergoing its transformation into the entertainment hub we know today and wanted to showcase the exciting plans ahead. It proved to be a great publicity tool and we are proud to have played our part in this iconic building’s history.
3 Mobile, Rooster Concert: 2004
This example was responsible for one of our record-breaking moments. We partnered with 3 Mobile to deliver the first ever concert broadcast live to mobile phones! Using 3G, we streamed the 45 minute gig by band Rooster, at the London venue ICA and had 1,000 subscribers who each paid £5 to see it.
Virgin Unite & Conservation International: 2009
We worked with Richard Branson’s Virgin Unite (A non-profit foundation of the Virgin Group) and Conservation International to produce this video in 2009. Addressing an event in Chicago, it sees Richard Branson communicate the need for immediate action to combat the effects of Climate Change.
