Shocking: 87% of Hospital CFOs are NOT Prepared for Value-Based Reimbursement

According to a new research study, very few hospital CFOs are prepared to deal with the financial aftermath of constantly evolving business conditions, such as care delivery methods and value-based reimbursements. 

The study investigated around 160 healthcare organizations, hospitals, and health systems and the news that was discovered was quite troublesome. 

The statistics recorded in the research study included:

  • Only 13% of the Hospital CFOs are being prepared to handle any sort of evolution in payment processes and value-based reimbursement.
  • After discussing this with many senior financial executives and CFOs, it was concluded that only 23% of the CFOs are actually prepared to deal with such cases, and are confident that their organization would be able to tackle and make quick adjustments in such cases.
