Shipping a Tank from Valencia to Altamira, Mexico
At Transped, we take pride in offering efficient and secure transport solutions for our clients worldwide. Recently, we undertook a challenging project that involved shipping a tank specifically designed for the food sector from Valencia, Spain, to Altamira, Mexico.
The tank, with impressive dimensions of 16.50 meters in length, 4.15 meters in width, and 4.20 meters in height, and a weight of 9 tons, was transported using the RoRo (roll-on roll-off) modality. The total volume of the tank is 288 cubic meters, making it a large-scale shipment that required meticulous planning to ensure its safe arrival in perfect condition.
What is the RoRo Modality?
The RoRo (roll-on roll-off) modality is a maritime transport technique that allows rolling cargo, such as trucks, trailers, and heavy machinery, to be loaded and unloaded onto a specialized vessel. This modality is characterized by its efficiency and speed in handling cargo since it does not require cranes to lift the goods. Instead, vehicles are simply driven onboard the ship and secured for the journey.
At Transped, we understand the importance of precision and safety in the transport of special goods. Our commitment is to provide high-quality logistics services that meet our clients' specific needs. If you have a special transport project, do not hesitate to contact us to find the best solution for you.
