Precision medical education with proven impact to advance outcomes
Medscape joined the Patient Centricity & Collaboration World Congress to help share on the importance of patient-centered healthcare professional (HCP) education. Their session “Closing the Gaps in Patient-Centricity: Revolutionizing Medical Education for HCPs” explored where we stand in incorporating the patient voice into HCP and patient/caregiver communication, why patient-centricity represents a critical third pillar in HCP education, and how this can all make a difference in patients’ lives.??
“We were so honored to attend this event with patient advocate Steve Clark and Sarah Halford , FRCP, MA, PhD to talk about this important topic. Incorporating patient-centricity into care makes a huge difference in patients’ lives, and education is an important way we help clinicians develop their skills around communication and incorporating the patient voice into care. We’re happy to be on the forefront of advancing care in this way,” said Victoria Harvey, PhD. ?
