Shining Light in the Darkness
:: As the nations erupt in chaos and its citizens take to the streets in protest and civil unrest, the contrast between light and darkness could not be more evident.?
Jesus warns us in Matthew 24 that there will be wars and rumors of wars, but He goes on to say, "See that you?are not alarmed, for this?must take place, but the end is not yet."? In addition to famines and earthquakes,?nations have been rising against one another, kingdom against kingdom, since sin corrupted mankind.?
We see this reflected in our daily headlines as war continues to intensify in the Middle East and Ukraine. Citizens are crying out against poor governance, corruption, and the ever-increasing cost of living in Nigeria with hundreds of like-minded protesters killed in Bangladesh and Kenya alone. Civil unrest has broken out in the streets of the United Kingdom and thousands have rallied in Venezuela to protest their presidential election.
Why do the nations rage??Psalm 2 tells us that the kings of the earth have set themselves against the Lord and His Anointed, Jesus, but God who sits in the heavens laughs and holds them in derision. Even though it may appear that evil and violence are overtaking the world–God is ruler over all and His gospel continues to spread among the unreached.
With the support and prayers of faithful individuals and churches alike, missionaries and Kingdom workers are empowered to continue to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ and His covenant of redemption among the nations.?This year alone our missionaries have reported 3,323 healings, 13,494 salvations with 24,091 at-risk receiving ministry!?Many of their stories are captured and shared online.
