WELCOME
This week, we shine a spotlight on care, a purposeful intent to show kindness, empathy, and understanding toward others. Caring isn’t about grand gestures or expecting something in return; it’s about fostering connections, creating ripples of positivity, and making a difference in someone’s life.
QUOTES
“Sometimes it takes only one act of kindness and caring to change a person’s life.” Jackie Chan
“Caring people help others not because they expect a reward, but because it is natural to show kindness.” Anonymous
“The simple act of caring creates an endless ripple that comes back to you.” Unknown
“To make a difference in someone's life, you don’t need to be brilliant, rich, beautiful, or perfect. You just have to care.” Unknown
QUIBBLE
Have you ever caught yourself saying, “But I don’t care,” during a conversation, only to find yourself continuing to discuss the topic or person in detail? It’s a familiar quibble many of us experience, brushing something off as unimportant while it still holds space in our thoughts or words. If you truly didn’t care, wouldn’t it fade away instead of lingering in your mind?
This common contradiction highlights a deeper truth: often, our dismissal is less about indifference and more about discomfort, frustration, or uncertainty about how to respond. It’s easier to say, “I don’t care,” than to admit that something has affected us, or that we might care more than we’re ready to admit.
But what if we reframed this reaction? Instead of focusing on whether or not we care, what if we shifted our perspective to ask, “What does the other person need in this moment?” Caring isn’t always about solving problems or taking sides; it begins with simple awareness. It’s about pausing to recognise someone else’s feelings and responding with kindness, patience, or even just a listening ear.
True care doesn’t require grand gestures. It thrives in small, meaningful actions, choosing understanding over judgment, connection over dismissal, and kindness over indifference. So, the next time you find yourself thinking or saying, “I don’t care,” consider pausing. Reflect not only on why it matters to you but also on how your response might impact someone else. Sometimes, a small shift in how we approach others can make all the difference.

Here is your opportunity...
Care is an action. It doesn’t take much, but it requires genuine effort to begin.
Self-care empowers you to care for others. When you prioritise your own wellbeing, you create the space to support those around you.
Caring inspires positivity. The more we care for one another, the stronger and more supportive our communities become.
QUESTION
"How does my care show up everyday and how can I learn to express it in a deeper way?"
