The Shift to Agile

The shift to Agile is not easy because it requires a change in how we think. Instead of a large group of people working on all of the requirements and releasing only when all of the development is done, what if we could work in small teams that work on smaller things and deliver within a shorter, defined period of time? Instead of being told to deliver this product at this time and notice the market reaction only months or years into the future, what if you worked on a small team that had more control over its work? What if you were asked what you could reasonably deliver over the next two weeks, be given frequent Customer feedback on what is and isn't working, and then be able to change the product based on that feedback??
With Agile, you have the autonomy to really think about what the team should be working on right now, how it should deliver, and how it might delight customers. A shift to Agile is not simple, but it's powerful. It enables us to be happier and more purposeful. Our organizations to be more successful and our Customers to be heard and delighted.
