‘SheTara’ aims to create accessible healthcare for women across Tamil Nadu, as of yet. It is a large-scale initiative designed to provide free preventive healthcare with 40+ health camps. This initiative ensures women receive all the essential medical screening and spread awareness regarding preventive healthcare for women in India.
These camps will offer essential medical screenings, including:
- BMI calculation
- Blood pressure monitoring
- Blood sugar tests
- Hemoglobin tests
- Thyroid function tests
- Bone mineral density screenings
- Subsidized USG screenings (if recommended by a doctor)

Furthermore, a free webinar will be conducted through this initiative titled "Navigating Gynecological Health and Work-Life Balance in the Age of AI," led by a renowned gynaecologist, which will provide valuable insights into women's health.
SheTara: Going Beyond Health To Create Financial Independence?
Going beyond healthcare, Star health insurance emphasizes the importance of financial independence. The company highlights the remarkable success of its existing 16,000+ women agents in Tamil Nadu, who have generated over Rs. 420 crore in business volume and facilitated nearly Rs. 250 crore in health claim settlements during FY 2025 (Apr-Jan'25).
Aiming to expand its network 'SheTARA' initiative aims to recruit more women as insurance agents, beyond the current 2,00,000+, representing nearly 30% of total agents by offering flexibility, work-life balance, strong earning potential, and a supportive work culture.?
The insurer also has an exclusive "Pink Branch" in Chennai, the first of its kind in Tamil Nadu, entirely operated by 12 women and serving over 300 agents.
