Shep recognized on BTN Europe’s 2021 Hotlist ??

I woke up about a week ago to a mysterious email from Mark Corbett, a fellow startup founder from London, saying, "Great job making the BTN hotlist! Big start to the year!"

I was clueless... I jumped online and checked out the BTN (Business Travel News) website and couldn't find anything. Checked the BTN Twitter account. Also nothing. So, I emailed back only to find that I was looking at the wrong region's BTN site. My startup, Shep, along with Mark's (Thrust Carbon) were named to BTN Europe’s 2021 Hotlist as two of three companies that are “driving change and leading business travel’s recovery.”

After the initial shock, I was amazed to find out that there were nearly 200 nominations that BTN “initially whittled down to 77 by the BTN editorial team before being shared with nine industry figureheads” who ended up picking the final 20 (only three of which were companies) for the 2021 Hotlist.

While I have no idea who nominated us (thank you!), it’s a real honor to be picked and to be in such high company as Thrust Carbon and travel consultancy, Festive Road. This is the second time in just a few months that Shep and Thrust Carbon have been recognized together as Shep was runner up to Thrust Carbon’s BTN Innovate award in November 2020.
