The Shell V-Power Racing Team headed to Western Australia for the Perth SuperNight.

The weekend was headlined by Will Davison and Anton De Pasquale claiming their first 1-2 for the Shell V-Power Racing Team in season 2022.

RACE 10 RECAP
After three years, the Shell V-Power Racing Team returned to Wanneroo Raceway for the Perth SuperNight. Anton De Pasquale started the 46 lap race from P1 and teammate Will Davison started from P12 on the Dunlop Soft tyre compound.
De Pasquale and Davison both had good starts to the race, retaining their positions after lap 1. De Pasquale had a tight battle with Waters into turn 1, before getting out to a one-second lead by the end of lap 1. Davison passed Hazelwood on lap 2 to gain a position up to P11.
Waters was the first in the lead group to come in for his compulsory pit stop on lap 18. De Pasquale came in for his compulsory pit stop on lap 19. The Shell V-Power Racing Team crew only serviced De Pasquale with two left-side tyres. De Pasquale rejoined ahead of Waters after his pit stop. Davison came in for his compulsory pit stop on lap 26. Davison had two left-side tyres changed in his stop.
van Gisbergen was the last of the lead pack to stop on lap 32 and rejoined behind De Pasquale and Waters. After the completion of all compulsory pit stops, De Pasquale sat in P1 and Davison in P6.
van Gisbergen passed Waters on lap 34 and gained ground on De Pasquale. van Gisbergen passed De Pasquale for P1 on lap 43 at turn 3.
At the end of Race 10, De Pasquale finished in P2 and Davison gained six positions to finish in P6.
RACE 11 RECAP
Anton De Pasquale qualified 5th fastest for Race 11 and teammate Will Davison qualified in pole position. The race started in excellent conditions, not a could insight. Waters started on the front row next to Davison and got the better start, jumping up to P1 going into turn 1. De Pasquale was passed by Brown and dropped to P6 in the opening lap.
The Safety Car was deployed on lap 2 after an incident on the main straight. Due to the damage caused to the wall and fence on the main straight, Race 11 was red-flagged for an extensive period. At 1:05pm local time, Race 11 recommenced under Safety Car conditions. Race Control extended the time certain time to 1:50 pm + 1 lap, with officials expecting all 46 laps to be run. At the restart, De Pasquale sat in P6 and Davison in P2.
De Pasquale was the first Shell V-Power Mustang to come in for his compulsory pit stop on lap 22 for left side tyres only. De Pasquale rejoined the race behind Brown, who stopped for new tyres on lap 21.
Davison came in for his compulsory pit stop on lap 25 for left side tyres only. Waters came in for his pit stop one lap after Davison on lap 26. Waters rejoined the race ahead of Davison.

Davison attempted to pass Waters on lap 26 at the last corner before being bumped. Waters was given a five-second time penalty for an unsafe re-entry onto the after the incident with Davison.???
At the completion of all the compulsory pit stops, De Pasquale sat in P6 and Davison in P2.
Brown stopped on the track at turn 4 with an issue, deploying the safety car on lap 37. After a short recovery, Race 11 restarted on lap 39.
De Pasquale passed B. Kostecki for P3 on lap 43. After Waters’ five-second time penalty was applied, De Pasquale finished in P2 and Davison in P1. The first 1-2 finish for the Shell V-Power Racing Team in 2022.
RACE 12 RECAP
Anton De Pasquale started Race 12 from P3 and teammate Will Davison started from the front row of the grid in P2. The final 46 lap race of the weekend had a short turnaround for the crew from Race 11 after the delayed finish.
Davison had a great start to Race 12, gaining a position off van Gisbergen into the first corner. De Pasquale didn’t have the best start and dropped back to P4. Reynolds, who started from P4, got a great start also jumping up to P2, before van Gisbergen regained a position at the last corner.
Brown got by De Pasquale on lap 3 for P4, while Courtney got by as well dropping De Pasquale to P6.
van Gisbergen came in lap 26 for his compulsory pit stop. Davison followed behind on lap 27 for his compulsory pit stop. The Shell V-Power Racing Team crew serviced Davison with two left-side tyres. Davison rejoined the race ahead of van Gisbergen. van Gisbergen passed Davison on lap 29 for P1.
De Pasquale came in for his compulsory pit stop on lap 31, with left-side tyres only being fitted to his car. De Pasquale rejoined the race in P8.?De Pasquale quickly made ground on cars that stopped prior to him, passing Waters for P6 on lap 35, Brown for P5 on lap 39 and Reynolds for P4 on lap 40.
A late Safety Car was deployed for a stopped car on lap 40, halting De Pasquale’s momentum.
At the conclusion of Race 12, De Pasquale finished in P4 and Davison in P3.
After four rounds of the Supercars Championship, De Pasquale is 2nd in the Driver’s Championship and teammate Will Davison is 3rd. The Shell V-Power Racing Team is 2nd in the Team’s Championship.
