Shell V-Power Looping

Pop the champagne! BrandBase just turned 25. We had quite a few highs, lows and landmarks, but never stopped loving what we do: creating big & bold campaigns, experiences and promotions for beautiful brands.

Throughout this month, we’re celebrating our 25 years of business with some major milestones. One activation that brings back some vivid memories is our Shell V-Power Looping. In this thrilling car stunt, we brought together a heavily tuned Fiat 500, a 11-meters high looping, a full tank of Shell V-Power high-quality fuel and a world-famous stuntman without fear.

The result was a sensational (and nerve-wracking) kick-off of the Amsterdam AutoRai 2011. A looping like this was never seen before, no one thought we would get it done, but we've gone to extremes to nail it.

What people didn’t see were the months of preparation it took to do the impossible. Stuntman Steve Truglia had an intensive military air training, during which he got used to the g-forces released when performing the looping three times a day. What a guy!
