Winston Churchill once said, “A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty.” Optimism is a way of living in present. An optimist truly believes in the power of universe and the ideology that everything will fall in to place eventually. It does not matter why something happened in the first place and how it’ll be rectified. When one is free of the Why and How, it is so much easier to focus on the What. “What” is what is happening now.
This optimism is imbibed in the land down under. “She’ll be right, mate” is a frequently used idiom in Australian and New Zealand culture. It simply means that ‘it will be ok”. “She” represents everything which means that this phrase can be used under any circumstances. Whatever is going wrong will right itself eventually, so one does not need to worry about it.
So next time you find it difficult to get over something, remember - She’ll be right, mate.
